Dr. Sharmila Sinha

Dr. Sharmila Sinha, an alumnus of MSU Baroda and IDC School of Design at IIT Bombay, brings over 30 years of experience as a communication designer to her current position. She has worked with national and multinational companies and brands such as Unilever, Tata, ITC, LaOpala, Bata, Jenson & Nicholson, Panasonic, Lafarge, and Hyundai, collaborating with top advertising agencies including Lintas, Clarion, Contract, O&M, Saatchi & Saatchi, and Intera.

Dr. Sinha holds a doctorate from IIT Bombay, where her research focused on Creative Ideation. A certified DeBono trainer she has been conducting creativity training for both corporate clients and academic institutions for over two decades. Her work has been presented and published in both national and international design research conferences and journals, having being awarded best paper status.

Her teaching career spans over 20 years, covering core design and cross-disciplinary subjects at prestigious institutions such as IIT Bombay, NIFT Mumbai and Kolkata, Symbiosis Institute of Design Pune, NID MP, UID Gandhinagar, IIM Udaipur, NSHM and ISB&M, at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
