He made his foray with higher education as Head of Academics of NSHM in the year 2002. Since then he has actively contributed to the growth of the organization from its formative years to its robust presence as knowledge campuses with various and varied University-affiliated programs involving thousands of students. He had been part of numerous teaching, learning, curriculum, content, collaboration, and co-creation for the cause of experiential and engaging education. He has been one of the early movers weaving technology in non-STEM education, Institute-Industry programs, value-added skills embedded learning, adversity-programmed learning, international exchanges, e-assessment, holistic grading, UK-India Education Research Initiative supported collaborative development project, thinking & creativity skills for innovation, new vistas and initiatives, etc. Besides, he had been hands-on with student lifecycle management, faculty development, institutional operations, regulatory compliances, approvals, affiliations, detailed project reports, strategic alliances, and University level roles on behalf of NSHM from time to time. NSHM’s life skills education got re-imagined with the commencement of Centre of Language and Communication, Centre for Innovation & Incubation, Centre for Social Action, Centre of Creative and Performing Arts and Centre for Sports and Wellness that would further the learning and engagement in the new normal of a fast-changing future.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in Electrical engineering, a post-graduate degree in information science and a doctorate in management science. He has been a former scientist of CSIR and was associated with the setting up of Scientific & Industrial Research Network during the mid-1990s for computer communications, access to online scientific databases, database development, and various other informatics purposes. He was also involved with process automation in steel plants and later with IT for social development. He was accorded the title of ‘Master Educator’ by Dr. Edward de Bono of Lateral Thinking fame for his work related to the development of de Bono skills education programs. The Outstanding College Award was received by him from the Ministry of HRD at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi for Digital Financial Literacy Campaign in India Project. His input on the experience of work in India was sought by the Economist Intelligence Unit on behalf of The Economist. Moreover, he is excited, like never before, to see more interesting times with physical-digital innovation, change, and transformation at NSHM.
