National Nutrition Month Celebration – Online Poster Competition

National Nutrition Month is being celebrated across the country to mark the fight against malnutrition. During this month, various programmes have been organized by the Women and Child Development Ministry to spread broad awareness on the issues related to malnutrition like stunting, under-nutrition, anaemia and low birth weight in children. The Nutrition Month will also focus on adolescent girls, pregnant women and lactating mothers to eliminate the deficiencies prevailing in the health sector.

Like every year the Department of Dietetics and Nutrition will organise a series of program throughout September 2020.

Online poster competition by UG students from different colleges/institutions/universities will held on 27.9.2020. We are requesting every UG students to participate in this program. The detail program schedule is as follows:

Inaugural speech 4.00 pm – 4.05 pm
Induction of Judges 4.05 pm – 4.15 pm
Poster presentation by competitors 4.15 pm – 5.45 pm
Interaction with general participants 5.45 pm – 6.00 pm
Result announcement 6.00 pm – 6.15 pm

Who can participate?

Any undergraduate student pursuing B.Sc degree in Nutrition Science/Food Science/Dietetics in a UGC recognized institution.

What is the topic?

Anything related to nutrition science will be accepted.

How to participate?

Interested participants need to submit their abstract (Maximum 150 words) with appropriate title by 20.9.2020 along with a scanned copy of their college ID to nnm2020nshm@gmail.com. After confirmation from NSHM they will present their digital poster in the zoom platform on 27th Sept 2020, sometime between 4 pm – 6.15 pm. The poster can be prepared in one slide of Microsoft Power point. Each participant will have 5 min time to present their poster. All other details will be provided after the acceptance of the poster.
