UDAAN - The Science Club

Udaan — the Science Club of NSHM Knowledge Campus, Durgapur, established by the Department of Basic Science — is a platform for innovation and exploration designed to spark curiosity, ignite creativity, and nurture passion among students through exciting scientific experiments and activities beyond the classroom. The club serves as a dynamic hub where young enthusiasts come together to share innovative ideas, conduct experiments, organize exhibitions, participate in quizzes, and engage in various problem-solving activities.

By fostering teamwork and cultivating creativity, Udaan not only strengthens students’ scientific understanding but also helps build a vibrant community of young minds who dream big, think critically, and apply scientific knowledge to real-world challenges. CodeNEST - The Open Source Development Club

CodeNEST is an Open Source Development Club of NSHM Knowledge Campus, Durgapur, established by the Department of Computer Science and Engineering. The club is dedicated to fostering a collaborative and innovation-driven environment where students can learn, experiment, and contribute to real open-source projects. By focusing on modern technologies such as web and app development, DevOps, IoT, and blockchain, CodeNEST provides a platform for students to stay industry-ready and technically relevant.

Through hands-on workshops, hackathons, technical sessions, and community-driven projects, the club encourages problem-solving, teamwork, and creativity. Rotaract Club of NSHM

The Rotaract Club of NSHM Knowledge Campus, Durgapur, established by the Department of Hospital Management, is a student-driven community service organization dedicated to developing leadership, fostering social responsibility, and creating meaningful societal impact. Affiliated with Rotary International, the club empowers students to engage in humanitarian initiatives, health awareness campaigns, outreach activities, and skill-building programmes that promote community well-being. Through teamwork, volunteerism, and innovative problem-solving, the Rotaract Club nurtures compassionate leaders who strive to uplift communities and contribute to positive change both locally and globally.

The Sanskriti Club, established by the NSHM Institute of Computing and Analytics, is a vibrant cultural platform dedicated to celebrating diversity and nurturing creative expression on campus. Focused on cultural enrichment and the performing arts, the club provides students with opportunities to showcase their talents through music, dance, drama, literature, and various creative activities. By promoting inclusivity and artistic exploration, Sanskriti Club fosters a dynamic community where students come together to preserve traditions, embrace multiculturalism, and express their creativity. Tackle It-Debate Club

This club aims to cultivate confident, articulate, and socially aware communicators who can think critically, speak responsibly, and engage meaningfully in democratic dialogue. Its purpose is to create an inclusive space where students learn the art of listening, presenting, counter- arguing, and building consensus with respect and clarity.

Book Lounge- Book reading and Literary Club

Book Lounge Club is a vibrant literary forum that celebrates books, characters, and creative expression. The club engages students in reflective discussions and character role explorations that deepen their understanding of literature. It also promotes artistic expression through poetry recitation, storytelling, and reading sessions. The club curates a wall magazine, showcasing students’literary works, reviews, reflections, and artistic pieces.

By encouraging analysis, creativity, and confident presentation, the Book Lounge Club fosters a strong literary culture and a love for meaningful engagement with texts.

CLC Reels Club

Reels Club serves as an enriching forum for students with a passion for cinema to engage with films at a scholarly and reflective level. The club is committed to cultivating a culture of critical viewing, fostering meaningful discourse, and honing the craft of cinematic analysis and criticism. Through curated exposure to a wide spectrum of films that span varied genres, languages, and cultural contexts, the club aspires to deepen aesthetic sensibilities while promoting creativity, and critical thinking.

Smart Talk- Employability Skills Club

Aims to enhance students’ employability by developing their soft skills, life skills, and professional confidence. The club focuses on communication skills, interview readiness, teamwork, leadership, and overall personality development.

It prepares students to face placement drives and competitive interviews with clarity, confidence, and professionalism. Through practical activities such as mock interviews, group discussions, presentations, and interactive sessions, students gain real-world exposure.

The club also works towards improving students’ emotional intelligence, decision-making ability, and workplace etiquette. Emphasis is placed on building self-confidence, positive attitude, and ethical values. CLC Smart Talk serves as a platform for students to discover their potential and become industry-ready professionals.
