Inauguration

The Science Club was inaugurated on 13.08.24 with great enthusiasm, featuring a range of activities such as Tree Plantation, Logo Making, Poster Making, and a Quiz Competition. As part of the event, Dr. Ujjwal Ghanta, Assistant Professor of Physics, conducted an interactive hands-on session on Science and Engineering using ExpEYES. The programme sought to ignite scientific curiosity while also fostering environmental awareness among students.







Birth Anniversary of Vikram Sarabhai

A programme titled “ INNOVATE, IMAGINE, INSPIRE: CELEBRATING ENGINEERING & SPACE SCIENCE “ was organized on 12th August 2025, in commemoration of the birth anniversary of Dr. Vikram Sarabhai. The celebration featured two exciting competitions—”Innovision: A Documentary video-making contest”, and “AstroQuest: A Space Quiz”—designed to spark creativity and curiosity among students.







Elocution Competition

Our students, guided by the NSHM Science Club UDAAN, participated in the Inter-College Elocution Competition held on 23.10.24 as part of Vigilance Awareness Week. Organized by Durgapur Steel Plant, SAIL, the event was centered on the theme ‘Culture of Integrity for Nation’s Prosperity’. In this competition, our student Atmadeep Dutta secured the 1st position, while Rajveer Singh and Shiksha Rathor were also honored for their outstanding performances in different categories.




Symposium on Career Compass

Navigating Internships and Graduate Opportunities 2025
This symposium was organized on 26th August 2025. The event was graced by Prof. (Dr.) Minni J. Mishra, a distinguished educational professional with over two decades of teaching, mentoring, and academic leadership experience across India and the UK. Her insightful keynote address guided and inspired students to explore promising career pathways.







Stakeholders Conclave

On 28th October 2024, our students attended the Stakeholders’ Conclave organized by the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) at Fortune Park Pushpanjali. The event provided them with a unique opportunity to interact with industry experts and key stakeholders, gaining valuable insights and practical exposure.



Vigilance Programme DSP

The NSHM Science Club Udaan, in association with SAIL, organized a seminar on ‘Ethical Behaviour and Business Ethics’ on 28th August 2025, featuring Sri Pradeep Bharathan as Chief Guest and Sri Kantam Niranjan Kumar as Keynote Speaker. Students enjoyed an engaging Open House Quiz and gained valuable insights from interactive lectures by DSP Vigilance Officers. The event concluded with a thought-provoking skit, ‘Sach Ka Chunav’, performed by our beloved students, earning enthusiastic applause from all attendees.







Earth Day

Earth Day 2025 was celebrated on 22nd April 2025 with great enthusiasm, featuring a lecture by Prof. (Dr.) Pathik Kumbhakar, NIT Durgapur, and engaging Model Making and Poster competitions. Students from schools across West Bengal came together to showcase creativity and promote environmental awareness.
