Overview
The B.Sc. in Nursing at NSHM Institute of Health Sciences is a four-year undergraduate programme designed to prepare students as competent, compassionate, and professional nurses ready to deliver high-quality healthcare in diverse settings.
The programme provides a balanced blend of theoretical knowledge and intensive practical training in core nursing areas such as medical-surgical nursing, community health nursing, paediatric nursing, obstetric and gynaecological nursing, psychiatric nursing, and fundamentals of nursing practice. Students learn to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, with a strong focus on patient safety, ethical practice, and evidence-based nursing interventions.
Clinical learning is reinforced through hospital postings, clinical practicums, community health visits, simulation labs, and hands-on exposure in real-world healthcare environments. The B.Sc. Board with Physics, Chemistry, Biology (50% for General, 40% for SC/ST/OBC, General PWD 45% and ST/SC/OBC 40%)
