Student life can be stressful. Peer pressure, career concerns, personal issues – they all add up to make things extremely difficult to handle. Often, prolonged periods of stress lead to loss of self confidence, depression and other psychological illnesses. When faced with such difficulties, its best to seek advice from a professional counsellor who is equipped to provide proper guidance and counselling.
NSHM Knowledge Campus has introduced a Student Mentoring Unit with Dr. Anuttama Banerjee, Consultant Psychologist & Academic mentor, in charge. A special counselling programme has been designed to give our students all the help they need to cope with stress. The programme structure is as follows-

The first part of our programme which is the Day to Day Functional Intervention Scheme, will address the following issues-

The second part of the programme which is the Special Intervention Scheme includes the following-

  • Sessions focusing on Development of professional ethics
  • Grooming sessions for Personal Interviews and Group discussions
  • Workshops on Team Building skills
  • Gender sensitization workshops
  • Workshops on Professional Relationship Management

Apart from these, the additional services that the programme aims to provide are-

  • Arrange course Specific Industry Interface programmes by corporate experts
  • Psychometric evaluation and Personality Assessment
  • Developing modules on Human Psychology and conducting classes for both organizational and inter personal understanding
