Message From the Principal
The global meltdown is now a thing of the past. The Indian economy is looking up. With its growth, new opportunities are opening and there is demand for more industry-ready media communicators.
It is now time to gear up to meet new challenges of our growing economy and take advantage of a thriving media industry.
We at NIMC, besides strengthening our core systems and processes, aim at equipping our students with the knowledge, skills, training and attitudes that would add value to and be useful in whatever career they may choose across media - Print Journalism, Television, Radio, Advertising, Public Relations, Event Management, Corporate Communications, Animation and Graphics.
NIMC is equipped with a Television Production Studio and a network of Power Macs,
iMacs and G5s. To provide better learning experience, several new state-of-the-art facilities are being added, like Community Radio, Post Production equipment from Sony and latest lighting techniques.
It is a matter of great pride and satisfaction that a five-year-old institute can achieve such academic and professional excellence. Our undergraduate students stood first, second and third in the university examinations for two consecutive years.
Our students have qualified for admission in some of the premier institutes in India and abroad like FTI, NID and West Minister. Students passing out from our institute are working with distinction in leading media and corporate houses.
NIMC continues to act as a catalyst in creating student-faculty-industry collaborations, through integration of teaching, research and communication-in-action - Mrityunjoy Chatterjee
