Experiential Learning

Teaching Pedagogy

Progressive education must stretch the realms of teaching beyond the four walls of classrooms. At NSHM, we constantly try to do that and give our students a different perspective to lessons. Our teaching methods are unconventional, effective and endorsed by some of the best academicians and industry faces alike.

Mentor Mentee Programme

The Mentor Mentee programme is part of our focus on real life experiential learning. Our students will have an external mentor (an entrepreneur or a senior manager of a company) who will groom our students, and an internal mentor (one of our own professors) who will have a small batch of students under him and spend time to prepare the students for the rigours of the industry. The objective of the Mentor Mentee programme is to prepare our students for the industry and to supplement their normal curriculum through industry internships, personal attention and one-to-one training. With Case studies and real life situational training, our students are made to experience their future in the present, at NSHM.

Industry Visits

NSHM strongly believes that learning is incomplete without practical exposure. It is with this view that NSHM conducts industry visits to top-notch companies and gives students a good glimpse of their future.

Business Etiquette & Communication Skills

Our students are taught social guidelines and business manners in order to face business situations when dealing with others or chalking up important deals.

Conflict & Stress Management

Conflict Management teaches our students various ways to handle grievances - standing up for what they consider to be right and against what they consider to be wrong. Stress Management is becoming increasingly important in today’s world, especially for management students. Our students are taken through various sessions in stress management which helps them cope with the rigours of academics.
