About Durgapur :
Durgapur is a modern township in the state of West Bengal, located about 160 kms from Kolkata. The well laid out industrial township was designed by Joseph Allen Stein and Benjamin Polk. It is home to the largest industrial unit in the state, the Durgapur Steel Plant. There are a number of power plants, chemical and engineering industries. Durgapur is well connected by road, rail and air, making it easily accessible.

Rail -
Durgapur is well connects on the Delhi-Kolkata rail route. In fact, Rajdhani Express stops at the Durgapur station like many other trains which connects to major cities of India.

Durgapur is connected by good motorable roads with Kolkata 176 kms, Patna 414 kms, Asansol 50 kms, Shantiniketan 62 kms and Vishnupur 72 kms.
