Student Services focus on students' well-being. Today Student Services at NSHM encompasses the whole student experience with the emphasis on quality student experiences resulting from making successful transitions, mastering new learning strategies, participation in the Academy community, developing career readiness and maintaining healthy life-styles.

Student Services' vision is to play a leading role in integrating student life and learning within Ryerson's learning community.
Mission:
Student Services will provide a quality student experience by supporting student success and retention within the learning community. It will ensure students have opportunities to make successful transitions to the Academy setting and learn career readiness skills while maintaining healthy life styles. As well, Student Services will partner with the academic community to create a comprehensive educational experience.

started in January '06 with the aim of providing
a single window solution to all students'
problems and issues as simple as duplicate
Identity cards/bus passes, scholarship forms
etc... to active participation in inter college
events... from organizing the first college fest
Ripples'06 and this year again
Ripples ‘07..... to reviving departmental
club activities like the Bizbee activity
Resonance .... from reactivating the Literary
club to forming the
Photography
club, the SSC has been occupied with making the
life on campus a more enjoyable one for all.
With the support of faculty mentors and enthusiasm of students the SSC is planning to do much more in recent days ,first of all trying to develop better systems and providing a chance for the students to communicate freely and voice their concerns, by being readily accessible. Implementing of the life style curriculum where in each student gets an opportunity to improve and enhance in their area of interest.
Picnics, excursions, sports events & fest. will liven up the campus in the forthcoming semester. Lot of activities by the existing literary, music and photography club are being planned. In addition to these an arts & craft club has started functioning. Memberships of these clubs are open to all the students across all departments/streams.
Various departmental clubs will also be revived and some new ones will also be initiated. All in all, the next semester will be a really promising one for all concerned.
SSC has actively organized and contributed to the grand inter-college Fest BLIT’07 held at our Durgapur Campus for the first time on the occasion of 10 Anniversary Celebrations from 23-25th Feb’07.
Literary Club facilitates Debates &Extempore Competition, Monthly Wall Magazine, POESY –Budding poet’s conclave, BOUQUET- an event compromising of Poetry , Painting, Nukkad, Laughter Show, Newsletters and College Magazines
Music Club organizes various musical performances and competitions
Photography & Movie Club , the students take the lead role in creating documentary movies and conduct indoor , outdoor photo shoots. It aims to archive international & National classic films, videos on various subjects, photo images and other digital assets.
An Arts and Crafts Clubs is also formed which recently organized A card making competition on Valentines Day.
Apart from these the various departmental clubs are
Bizbee – The department of Management studies which regularly organizes case study & role play competitions. Presentation on different industries by guest speakers are also a regular feature
Infoband – The club of Department of Computer Application organizes programming & debugging contests
Kre@tive- The club of Media Science Department provides the student with the opportunity to cover all events conducted at the Campus
Eye-Fi – The club of Department of Optometry and Vision Science organizes free eye check-up camps in schools etc .under the banner of ‘Dristi’
Newtongue & Goldplate – are the clubs for Degree and Diploma Students of NSHM School of Hotel Management
VIAF : Vision India Activity Foundation

Vision India Activity Foundation (VIAF) is a non-profit Foundation that is committed to igniting young minds through youth participation that enable them to achieve their highest potential in educational , social , cultural and environmental responsibility.
VIAF is a NSHM Knowledge Campus initiative. An Institute which has chosen to go beyond the confines of conventional education with a view to shaping the character of tomorrow’s global citizen by giving something back to society .
Inspired by Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam’s vision for Indian youth , VIAF is dedicated to being a full time advocate of his ten point oath and work with the youth of India to fructify those into measurable outcomes.
