Alumni
Your relationship with NSHM may begin with your time here as a
student, but we will continue to provide help and support after
graduation and for the rest of your life.
The Development and Alumni Office offers a range of exclusive
services and benefits including discounts, an events programme
and up-to-date news about your fellow alumni and the Academy.
Events and reunions
To help you keep in touch with your friends and to give you the
opportunity to find out the latest news from the Academy, we
have organized a variety of social and networking events for
you. Mail us at info@nshm.com to get the calendar to find out
more and if you would like help contacting friends to organize a
group for one of the events.
By staying in touch with NSHM, you can keep up-to-date with what
your old friends are doing, get the latest Academy news, join in
with reunions and networking events - and take advantage of the
wide range of benefits that we offer to our alumni, both on and
off campus.
We are always keen to hear what you’re doing now, so please send
in your news or share your memories of NSHM with us.
Learning and advice
We like to feel that we offer an ongoing advisory service to our
graduates, whether that’s by providing careers guidance, keeping
you up-to-date with developments at the Academy, enabling you to
catch up with your old friends, or giving you access to current
vacancies, both within the Academy and in other organisations.
Our alumni have fascinating and exciting careers and we would
like to use your experiences to inspire current students.
The Alumni Careers Network is a project run by the Careers
Service, in conjunction with the Development and Alumni
Relations Office. It provides opportunities for students to
learn more about particular occupations by using the work
experiences of NSHM alumni. All alumni members of the network
will be asked to provide a ‘career profile’ via a series of
questions about themselves, their current role, and their career
to date. This profile will be mailed to the CRTT. The scheme is
open to current students and staff and to our alumni who have
graduated in the past 12 months and registered with the Careers
Service.
As well as providing a career profile there is also the
opportunity for alumni to choose to give careers-related advice,
such as hints and tips about applying for jobs, to individual
students who may request it. |
