Profile Summary: Ph.D. (CU) and CAIIB: Long & varied experience from working in Commercial Banks (PSB and Global Bank) as well as Investment Bank, both in India and abroad. Hands – on experience of dealing with Multi – Currency Baskets of Loans and Deposits, ACU, Swaps, Options, Structured Financial Products, Global Treasury Functions, Mergers & Acquisitions,  Project Appraisal and Debt Syndication, Management of Public and Rights Issues, Formulation of Financial Strategies & implementation. Worked as Dean at Future Institute of Engineering and Management and as Adviser at Indian Association for the Cultivation of Science.  Have been associated with teaching and training for nearly 2 decades at IIMC, IIFT, ICAI, ICWAI, IICM, CU, JU, St Xaviers College, SBI, UCO Bank, IT Training Institute etc. Chaired many sessions at ICC, ASSOCHAM, BNCCI, Institute of Internal Auditors, NSE, MCX – SX etc. Joint author of 2 books published by Tata McGraw Hill and Vikas Publishers.

Industry Experience:
Dr. Basu has 28 years rich corporate experience. He worked with Bank of Tokyo (Mitsubishi) as DGM and SBI Capital Markets as Vice President.

Academic Experience:
For the past 20 years in the academic sector, Dr. Basu has been allied to Institute like Globsyn Business School-both as Advisory and Faculty and Future Institute of Engineering & Management. Has also been a visiting Professor at IIFT, IIMC (LDP), C.U., J.U., St. Xavier’s College.

Research Highlights:
His presentations in conference proceedings of Econophysics of Wealth Distribution (2005) and Econophysics of Stock and other Markets (2006) have been published by Springer.
