Shaping the future
The sole purpose of Management Development Programme is to make the students understand the diversifications and ramifications of their curriculum to develop a holistic picture of its purpose and utility in the long run.
 
The future executives, managers, administrators and leaders need to realize the importance of constant up-gradation of knowledge in order to keep up with the break-neck speed of the growing industry. Hence, apart from imparting theory based education we encourage industry insights and updates from the industry stalwarts through workshops, seminars and conferences to supplement their education to gain extra mileage because one cannot discount the importance of these activities in shaping the future of dynamic professionals.

FINANCE – Finance and Accounting for non-finance executives – The MDP was conducted by Jayanta Mitra, Prof. T. R. Saha (guest lecturer).

Seminars / Conferences / Workshops
International Marketing
INTERNATIONAL MARKETING – The seminar spoke on the role of marketing in today’s world. It focused on the Porter’s five force model and its relevance in analysing the present industrial market. The model was explained with a case study on Wal Mart.
 
ROLE OF MANAGEMENT STUDIES IN ACADEMIC WORLD – The seminar highlighted on the role of management people in academic field. There is an increasing demand of management level people in this area. The seminar motivated students to join this area and explore the immense possibilities of growth.
 
APICS SEMINAR – A number of guest speakers introduced students to the world of supply chain and logistics. Mr.Pradeep Khaitan (Head APICS, Mumbai), Mr. O. S. Neotia (3PL owner, ACC Transways), Prof. P. K. Deb, Prof. R. Dubey.

De BONO WORKSHOP – The purpose of the workshop was to understand the need of constructive and creative thinking during adverse situations and apply innovative techniques to overcome clogging of the mind in professional or personal crisis. Workshop on 'Nukkad' conducted by Ms. Jhuma Basak, a renowned theater artist.The objective of the workshop was to teach students the importance of team work.
 
Supply Chain Conference
A Snapshot
The annual supply chain conference has more than an ordinary significance because we present to you today the distance NSHM has traversed during recent years which will confirm what you have always believed that NSHM always delivers more than what it promises and we wish to share with you the directions of NSHM’s forward path.
 
The concept of Supply Chain was discussed and the highlight was on Forecasting; Master Planning; Materials Requirement Planning; Capacity Management and Production Activity Control; Inventory Management; Physical Distribution; Procurement and Vendor Relations. This conference became the growth platform in launching “ NSHM LOGISTICS CLUB ”, the first club (APICS approved) in Eastern India.
 
Workshops at NSHM Knowledge Campus, Gurgaon

On 17th October Mr. Gurucharan Singh Head of Northern India, Career Aircon Ltd. conducted a workshop on ’Effective Communication Skills’. This workshop was aimed at educating the students about the need for developing good communication skills and is importance in the field of Marketing and Sales. Students were given insights into the journey towards the path of success in the corporate world and tips on improving their communication skills.

On 14th of November Ms Prasidha Menon Sr. Consultant at HRD Consultant and Placement Network conducted a workshop on ‘Corporate Etiquette and Mannerism ’. This workshop was a part of the grooming process of the students and was also helpful in their personality development. This was an important step towards the concept of CQ which is an integral part of all NSHMites development programme.
On the same day Mr. Arun Agarwal and Ms Anjali Kapoor (who is the Northern India Head ABC Consultants) conducted a workshop on ‘Performance Management’. This workshop was aimed at improving the leadership qualities and soft skills of the students and equipping them with the knowledge of the present industry requirements.
