NIMD debate club “Counterpoint” on the occasion of National PR DAY

NIMD’s Counterpoint organised a debate competition on “Opinion poll in India is a victim of Public Relations pressure” on 21st April, 2014. The debate  competition organized on  the auspicious occasion of National PR Day addressed  the various  concerns specially the  relevance of  Opinion polls and its usage by leading PR professionals  in the forthcoming Lok Sabha Election of 2014.The  intra college debate  competition had participants from all the various colleges of NSHM  viz. NBS (NSHM Business School),NCPT (NSHM College of Pharmaceutical Technology),NCMT (NSHM College of Management & Technology) and NIMD (NSHM Institute of Media & Design).The competition was graced by the presence  of leading journalist from Times of India and Mr. Subhash Mukherjee General Manager, Corporate Communications, ITC. Arjun Banerjee and Nikita Baid of NIMD were declared  the winners of the competition by jury comprising of  Prof. Krishnendu Sarkar ,Principal, NCMT, Prof.Suchandra Chakraborty ,Prof. Sudip Chatterjee ,Prof. Sunit Chakroborty ,Prof. Debanjan Banerjee and Prof. Reshmi Naskar .Nikita Baid who  won  the jury’s  hearts with her strong views against the topic bagged the award for the Best Debator .
