The 1st lecture of the ‘Masterclass Series’ was held on 16th February,2015. Mr. John O’Shea, one of Ireland’s most eminent social entrepreneurs and a celebrated humanitarian, conducted this session. Through his address, he tried to inculcate in those present, his persuasive powers and fierce determination to fight against abject poverty and deprivation of this world. Having given more than 35 yrs of his life towards this noble cause, Mr. John O’Shea has been awarded the ‘Irish People of the Year Award’ in 1987, 1992; and received the Honorary Degree from the Notre Dame University in 2007 for his “passionate commitment to the poor, and your tireless relief of extreme poverty (which) exemplifies the finest qualities of the human spirit.”
